Wrong. I have, at best, fleeting interest and gratitude for the latest and the greatest completed for me and handed to me. It’s also harrrd. I can understand why kids raised to use devices can breeze through these things but when did people my age sit down and figure this out? Do I like learning new things? It’s one of those ideas that can go either way, much like major change and huge surprises. I was using Windows 7 when 10 came out. I’ve never had the romance with technology that drives people to wait in line all night for the latest phone. In the mid to late eighties, I was generously gifted with an IBM clone computer that stared at me for years. I was able to get through college by going to the computer lab or using a friend’s computer to type papers. Card catalogs, microfiche (you can Google that what that means these days) and librarians at the call desk were how we did our research.
